Servo System is a sort of advanced control systems, whose output can respond the external input rapidly and accurately. Nowadays, AC servo technology has become a basal technique for the automatization of industry, due to the great development of the microprocessor technique, modern power electronic technique and the manufacture technics for the permanent magnet material of motors. And as one of the most important part of the AC servo system, the speed-adjustment technique is thereby rapidly developed.The research work of this thesis, both academic and practical, mainly focus on the speed-adjustment system of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), which is typical in control systems of AC motor.Firstly, this thesis summarizes and analyzes the evolution, the present, and the prospect of both servo systems and AC servo system based on a large number of referenced materials. Besides, it makes an introduction on the structure and control strategies of the universal PMSM speed-adjustment systems.Secondly, a set of practical PMSM speed-adjustment system based on DSP controller is developed, basing on which a relevant method of control strategy is also advanced. After analyzing the principle in detail, a software system for putting the method in practice is further developed.Finally, experiments have been done on this practical system. And according to the analysis of these experimental results, some conclusions drawn from this thesis have been proved.
