ln this paper, the stress intensity factors of bimaterial media beamspeciments with a crack along the interface are caculated by means of hy-brid e1ement method. The results show that the hybrid element method isof more accurate. By changing the location or weight of loads, and posi-tion or style of constraint, the speciments with different combination ofKI,K,K are obtained, so 24 different combination speciments made ofrock and concrete are designed out. The tests of fracture toughness hasbeen carried out by using two type of speciments (one is square with a sin-gle--edge crack, another is square with circuIar crack in order to loadeasily). Hence the critical fracture curves of 3D interface crack of rock-concrete is gotten as following:0. 927KI +0. 746K+0. 726K =KIcin the formular above KIc=0.423 KN/cm~(3/2)The results of this paper can be applied to analysis the interface ofdam and foundation.
