The brushless Permanent DC motor 15 a new kind of motor, which finds its wide application switch development of the Power electronics technology. Being keep good starting Performance and speed regulation Performance of the conventional DC motor, it avoids the noise and spark caused by the mechanical commutation. However, the main disadvantage of permanent magnet brushless motors is its pulsating torque. Torque smoothness is an essential requirement in the motion control applications. So the compensation of pulsating torque is very important.Firstly, the operation principles of the BLDCM are analyzed and set up the mathematical model of the BLDCM, The analytical expression of torque ripple is obtained. Also, the influences of the universal PWM methods on the torque ripples are studied. The principle and the application scope of the overlap method are analyzed in detail. A new control strategy is proposed to minimize the commutation torque ripple. Based on the improved control strategy, All the power devices can be controlled by the main circuit with Pulse Modulation Control, and make the same bridge of the upper and lower power devices to meet the cycle of relationship of Dup+Ddown= 1. A scheme for Digital Signal Processor(DSP) based BLDCM controller design is achieved. Then the hardware and software designs are completed. Using MATLAB/SIMULINK, the validity of the proposed control strategy is demonstrated by the experiments. This paper has laid a theoretical foundation for improving the operation performance of the BLDCM and extended the application scope of the BLDCM.Finally, I made a vision about the development direction of brushless DC motor, and summarizes the follow-up would continue to carry out the direction of work.
