Hui County Water Yang Township, The Distribution Of Soil Heavy Metal Pollution Levels And Soil Remediation Planning Study

Environment pollution caused by heavy metals in soils is a serious problem. Heavy metals in soil are difficult to be dispelled, and resort for a long time. It affect soil quality and growth of crop, and threat human health when it enter food chain.Heavy metals in environment caused by the base metal smelting activity have led to a serious soil contamination .There was a typical accident that made lots of childen blood lead content higher than standard by a smeltery near the residential area which happened in Hui county Longnan City Gansu province on Sept 2006. Used the soil samples from the polluted area, we measured the content and pollution sources in topsoil, analysed the distribut trend and law of the four metal contents in different distance from the smelter, studied the degree of the four metal contents based on evaluation factor of background value and Environmental quality standard for soil. According to the analyse result and combined with the present use of land,we partition the polluted land with different contaminated degree and made different plan to remediate the research field depend on present research results of metal polluted soil. Results:With distance far from the smelter,the four metal contents in the field are decrease by and by and it is almost similar to the decrease trend of the metals. At the same time,the field is polluted seriously by all the metals and the most is Cd,then is Pb,and Cu,and Zn.With different degree of pollution by the four metals,we partition the area into different parts based on the current use of the search field in order to adopt suiltable remediation to remove the metals from different place such as the smelter,residential area,plant area,forest area and so on .Up to now,available remediation technologies for heavy metal polluted soils can be divided into two major groups: physicochemical remediation and bioremediation.
