| Ecosystem is the life-support system of human society, human often ignores the ecosystem services in the process of resource utilization. Ecosystem service is a term coined to make apparent that the structure and function of ecosystems provide value to human. The implementation of sustainable development depends on the correct understanding of the ecosystem services. Valuation of ecosystem services could evaluate the environmental improvement and provide scientific decision-making.Based on a series of Landsat-TM images, according to ecosystem services value units area of Chinese terrestrial ecosystem, we adjusted the value by coefficient, and evaluated the value of ecosystem services of Kangbao County.The results indicated that: landuse had remarkable changes from 1987 to 2004, areas of cultivated land and waters decreased;other types had a trend of increasing. Value of ecosystem services showed a first-decreasing last-increasing trend during 1987 to 2000, it decreased from 157.60 million RMB to 115.13 million RMB, till the year of 2004, the value rose to 130.02 million RMB. The value of Kangbao County had a loss of 27.58 million RMB during 17 years. The loss indicated that the unreasonable type of landuse, or the unobvious effect of environmental program from 1987 to 2000;the increase value showed that the type of landuse developed healthily from 2000 to 2004.So, implementation of returning land for farming to forestry (grass) is the effective approach to resume the ecosystem services, it is also the main task of environmental construction. |
