Along with society's development, the urbanized advancement acceleration, the city hot island phenomenon is day by day prominent, and people more and more care about how hot-island of the city affect human being's environment. Recently, many experts in domestic and international countries study the city hot island phenomenon with surface observation, the digital spatial simulation or the remote sensing technology.The normal ways of monitoring urban heat environment, that is, on site monitoring and spatial modeling using mathematic methods have some deficiency in many aspects such as the more workload, the worse efficiency, the higher cost, the weakness of accuracy and so on. In the recent twenty years, remote sensing and geography information system technique developed rapidly and was apt to merge mutually, so their advantage were integrated together in many fields. On account of t remote sensing image data include the information about heat environment, and it was obtained from the satellite data accurately, quickly, and economically by RS technique, and quantitative analysis was carried out by the obtained data of heat environment and GIS technique. Therefore, quantitative study of heat environment can be come true by the integrated technique of RS and GIS economically, visually and effectively.This article takes the Chongqing host city as the research object, uses 1988, 1993, 2000 and 2004 time TM/ ETM+ remote sensing image, the union meteorological data, the social economy statistical data, takes the hot field thermal energy landscape as the main research content. It studies the changing characteristics of thermodynamic sight pattern caused by urban development and surface cover changes during 16 years from 1988 to 2004 year and studies quantitatively surface evolvement influence on city hot island, the main research content included: The research convention technology and the hot infrared remote sensing technique characteristic, the superiority and the insufficiency. We have learned about the present urban hot-island effect research main difficulty and the existence question;The research on the pretreatment to the remote sensing image the method;In inducing the hot infrared remote sensing and the atmosphere to the city hot infrared remote sensing influence physical mechanism foundation in, we revised and has established one kind based on Landsat TM/ETM+ remote sensing data surface temperature inversion simplification model. According to Landsat TM3/ TM4 wave band image calculation surface vegetation index and carries on the classification, the utilization model to four time remote sensing images carries onthe surface temperature inversion;Contrasts four time inversions results, studies the Chongqing hot island effect the evolution rule and the characteristic;Studies the surface vegetation cover and the hot island effect relations;Finally search the main reason which forms the city hot environment, analyze the method weakens the city hot environment and puts forward the rationalization proposal.Studies through this article indicated that: Chongqing urban vegetation reduction, population growth and the industry and the life consumes energy and so on, lead the hot island effect inevitable to intensify. This rule has the very good model function regarding other local city hot island research.
