The active components of Allium Sativum L. and Lonicera japonica Thunb were extracted and their extraction technology was studied in this disertation. The garlic oil was extracted from Allium Sativum L. by steam distillation. The optimum conditions of four methods including flowing steam distillation,direct steam distillation,vacuum direct steam distillation and vacuum flowing steam distillation were obtained by orthogonal design. The first method is the best one that the yield of the garlic oil was 4.54%. which is higher than that in the previous papers. The factors of the former two methods which influnce the yield of garlic oil were also studied. The quality of garlic oil was determined by precipitating sulfur,IR and GC-MS. The experimental device of precipitating sulfur was improved that the loss of sulfur was reduced heavily. Comparing the infrared spetra of garlic oil sample with the standard infrared spetra,they were almostly identical. By GC-MS,alIyl mercaptan , bis- [2-(ethylithio)]ethyl,butylpropenyl sulfide, 4-methyl-l,2,3-trithia-cyclopentane and 5-methyl- 1,2,3,4-tetrathia-cyclohexane are the first time to be identified in garlic oil.The flavonoids were extracted from Lonicera japonica Thunb by heating-reflux and ultrasonic extraction. The optimum conditions of these two methods were obtained by orthogonal design. Effects of experimental conditions on the rate of the extraction and content of flavonoids were discussed in detail. Ultrasonic extration is much better than heating-reflux extraction and the former method has been studied at initial step. The content of flavonoids was determined by spectrometric method. Finally, the flavonoids were isolated and purified. Two compounds were isolated. On the basis of chemical evidences and spectral analysis (1HNMR,13CNMR,element analysis), they were determined as luteolin and quercetin.
