The adsorption isotherms and dynamic curve of equilibrium of acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer(AS) on TATB explosive have been measured by using UV Spectroscope. The effects of temperature, the type of solvent, the molecules mass of polymer, the concentration of sorbent and the specific surface area of sorbent on the adsorption of AS at the surface of TATB have been studied. The adsorption behave of TATB in the two-component polymer solution of AS and F2314 have been explored by means of Gel Permeation Chromatography(GPC) and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). The results show that it costs about 35 hours to reach adsorption equilibrium. Its adsorption isotherm presents the shape of "S". The adsorbed amount of AS at the surface of TATB decreases with increasing of the concentration of sorbent or rising in temperature The adsorbed amoun is strongly affected by the type of solvents and the specific surface area of sorbent. AS can be more easily adsorbed at the surface of TATB in non-solvent than in good solvents. The larger the specific surface area of TATB is,the more adsorbed amount is. The adsorbed amount increases with increasing of the molecules mass. While TATB adsorbe the polymers in the two-component polymer solution, there are the characteristic of competitive adsorption and fractionated adsorption.Wetting capability of the polymer solution of AS on the surface of TATB explosives with different particle size have been studied by measuring the contact angles and the surface tension. The relation bwteen the wetting capability and the adsorption amount has been discussed. The results show that the wetting capability and the wetting speed of AS solution on TATB explosive decreases with increasing of the concentration of AS solution. The capability of wetting vary with the type of solvent and the particle radius of TATB explosive. If the wetting capability of polymer solution at the surface of solid explosive is good, its adsorbed amount is much. The results of adsorping thermodynamics are in good agreement with the dynamics'.The adsorption mechanism of AS at the surface of TATB has been investigated by use of XPS and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer(FT-IR) technique,. The result is that Van der waals is the interaction between the adsorpted polymer AS and TATB partcles. The adsorption behave parameters at the interface between TATB and AS solution have been estimated by means of experimental measurement, theoretical calculation and empirical formula. Determinitions show that for TATB(the particle size is14um), the larger the adsorbed amount is,the thicker the adsorbed layers thickness is. For thesub-micron TATB(the particle size is 0.6 u m) , the adsorbed layers thickness is thin due to the increase of its specific surface area. The adsorbed film is the structure of loop- tail. The energy of adsorption increases with increasing the chain length of the polymer of AS. The abilities of TATB crystal surfaces to adsorb AS increase as following: (010)...
