Hydraulic fracturing in moderate to high-permeability reservoirs is a technique, which is usually applied to improve well productivity and control sand production.This paper firstly discusses the characteristics of high permeability reservoirs and puts forward the fracturing methods. Then the paper researches how to select the proppant sizes and styles. The last part of the paper concerns mainly with the criterion of fracture propagation before and after screen-out process, the tip-screen out moment of fracturing and the tip screen-out fracturing plan design method.The primary contributions of the paper are:(1)By studying literature investigation, the paper, detail analyzing the characteristic of high permeability reservoirs, and the economy evaluation aimed at the increment of net present value, shows that the high conductivity is more important than the fracture length in the hydraulic fracturing.(2)Tip screen-out fracturing is a special fracturing method which is distinguished from conventional hydraulic fracturing. The paper researches the physical process of fracturing, and puts forward the condition of screen -out moment during the fracturing treatment.(3)According to the specialty of tip screen-out fracturing, The paper analyzes the requirement of proppant, and gives forward the method to select proppant sizes, when the formation need to control sand production.(4)In the simulation calculation of the programs .we comprehensively consider the interactions of fluid temperatures in the fracture and flow behavior of fracturing fluid and fracture geometry and proppant transport.(5)The numerical method simulates the interface between the pad and the slurry and accurately computes the tip-screen out moment, which increases the practicability.(6) The paper firstly presents the numerical model of fracture propagation after tip screen-out, which can calculate the fracture geometry and pressure in the tip screen- out fracturing.(7)The paper makes the program of tip-screen out fracturing. The application case shows that such program can analyze the effect of the pump rate, proppant concentration and leak-off coefficient on the fracture geometry and pressure in the fracture.
