Recently, One important branch of synthesizing medicine, synthesis and researching of the Schiff base and its metal complexes, is very active. Some of them have physiology activity not only anticancer, tumour activity but also antibacterial activity. In this study, we report the synthesis of transition metal complexes with 6 kinds of Shiff base derived from 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-(2-thienyl)-1,3-butanedione(TTA) and a -, β -naphthamine;1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-pyrazolin-5-one(PMBP) and furfuryl amine , benzyl amine , p-amino dimethyl aniline, p-amino acetophenone (PAAP), characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV spectrum.Three crystal structure analysis of Schiff base ligands derived from TTA and ?-naphthamine; PMBP and furfuryl amine,benzyl amine by X-ray diffraction method indicates that they are neutral dentations in Enamine-keto form. The X-ray diffraction analysis of CuL2 H2O(L= the Schiff base ligand derived from PMBP and PAAP) indicates the enamine from of the ligand turn to imine form of the Cu'complex. Simultaneously the acetyl of pyrazolin ring enolization and lose one proton. So the ligand become to a one valent negative ligand.The antibacterial activity of Schiff base with the complexes at the different concentrations against E.Cocli and S.aures are determined using disc diffusion method. The results indicate that almost all compounds have the activity of inhibiting the growth of two bacteria. In which the Co2+ complex derived from PMBP and furfuryl amine is better than the others.Using quantum chemistry method performs the calculations of the four crystal structures. In this paper, we discuss the reaction mechanism of the Schiff base's formation. The relationship between structure and activity is also discussed. This work should offer important theory basis for future researches.
