Fracturing are adopted popularly by oilfields in order to improve oil/gas production. The fracturing fluid produced in the process of fracturing operations is one of sources of polluted water. According to the analysis of the source, water quality characteristics, present treatment condition and disposal problem of fracturing fluid, and based on the water quality of exploratory well 23 in Han Yang oilfield, this paper puts forward two methods to treat fracturing fluid. One project is "five-step", namely "coagulation and settling - NaClO oxidation - Fe/C micro-electrolysis - catalytic oxidation - active carbon adsorption", another project is solidifying treatment of fracturing fluid. In this paper, all mechanisms of the treating method have been discussed and the best technological process was determined in the laboratory, and degree of solidification was classified by using fuzzy comprehensive assessment. The results showed that quality of fracturing fluid disposed by "five-step" met the discharge standard (GB8978-1996, II grade), solidifying stack can be buried or paved. Because solidification has the merits of easily buying materials, good treatment effect and lower expenditure than "five-step", We suggest Nan Yang oilfield adopting solidifying to treat fracturing fluid.
