Every year, a large amount of alkaline waste water was produced in Jinchuan group co., LTD. Most of them, which came from the absorption of residual chlorine, were sodium hypochlorite alkali waste water. If the water is treated directly, the cost of sewage treatment will greatly increase, but if the water is discharged without any purification, not only can cause a pollution of environment, but also cause the waste of resources. Therefore, if the alkaline waste water can be used in absorption of sulfuric acid tail gas, this will be a good choice to make waste profitable. Basing on this point, three parts of work has been done:(1) the main component of the alkaline waste water has been analyzed, this will give support to absorption of sulfuric acid tail gas in data; (2) the mechanism of desorbing sulfur dioxide has been investigated, this will provide a theoretical foundation for the process of absorption of sulfuric acid tail gas; (3) the condition of desorbing sulfur dioxide has been optimized by dynamic test. According to the test, the best gas absorber has been explored, and this will lay the foundation for industrial applications.
