The reserve of the red iron ore which is to hold about 30% of the iron resource in China is big in our country. And the reserve of complex refractory red iron is 10 billion tons, which is to have above 80% of the red iron resource.With the rapidly growing of the steel demand in our country, the need of the iron material of blast furnace smelting increasing sharply. The pressure of steel production in China is becoming bigger and bigger because of the higher price of the import iron ore. For utilizing the nation's resources more effectively, the exploitation and utilization of the complex refractory iron ore was becoming more attent.The Yunnan Baozipu limonite ore is considered one of the complex refractory high phosphorus hematite-limonite ore. And the reserve is 19912205 tons. The main mineral in it contains hematite and limonite. The concentrator is invested in 2007,and the scale is set for 3500 t/d. A process consisting of the stage grinding-the high gradient magnetic separation-middlings grinding then the high gradient magnetic separation again-wave bed, it can achieve a qualified concentration.At the beginning of mining, the ore consists the higher hematite and the lower limonite content. After processing this minerals using the process above, the concentrate grading is 59.00% and the recovery is 61.00%.With the deathly mining, the content of the limonite in this ore is up to 84.58%,and the content of the hematite is only 9.95%. So the previous process can not adapt to process this ore now. As the result, the recovery of the concentrate become lower and the grade of the tailing become higher than before.In this case, we had a research on how to effectively recycling the limonite and the hematite, and eventually we recommend a optimizing process flow for live.After optimizing the process flow, it can effectively recycling the limonite and the hematite, and it can also separate the high phosphorus limonite middling and the qualified hematite concentrate, which descends the tailing grade to 15.00%.
