PAL (Positron Annihilation Lifetime) and TEM(Transmission Electron Microscope) were applied to investigate the interaction between Helium(He) and defects in stainless steel(21-6-9) charging with tritium, which were under the same annealing treatment of stainless steel and stainless steel charging with tritium, and the affection of the temperature.According to the diffusion and disintegration of Tritium and the diffusion of He-3, the concentration of He-3 and its distributing were caculated. The total concentration of He-3 is 52.99ppm, and it distributed symmetrically. The trasition odds of He-3 and thermal banlance vacancy and the concentration of thermal banlance vacancy were caculated. The results shew that the trasition odd of He-3 was increasing with the increase of temperature, the concentration of thermal banlance vacancy and its trasition odd increased suddenly when T>Tm/2(Tm: the melting point of 21-6-9 ). As another word, under this temperature, thermal banlance vacancy became activity.First, the experiments of the stainless steel without tritium were carried on. The results indicated that in stainless steel without tritium there were two kinds of defects: grain boundary and vacancy clusters. The affection of the temperature can be divided into two stages: when T<400℃, the lifetime of the defects kept stable and this indicated that there were no changes happened on the defects; when T>400℃, the decrease of the lifetime indicated that there were obvious changes on the grain boundary. The results of the metallography approved that there were impurities separated out on the grain boundary.Second, the experiments of the stainless steel charging with tritium were carried on. After contrasting with stainless steel without of tritium, the results indicated that there were . two kinds of defects: grain boundary and He_nV_m clusters and temperature strongly affected the interaction between He and defects. The affection of the temperature can be divided into three stages: First, when T T_m/2, thermal balance vacancies become activity. The interaction between He and defects was mainly the intergration of He and thermal balance vacancies.
