This thesis mainly discusses the new projectile-retarded mechanism of ERA. First, the phenomenon of the projectile-retarded mechanism of moving plates is introduced, the conditions of the projectile-retarded mechanism of moving plates is analyzed. By a number of numerical simulations, the residual length and residual velocity of the rod which penetrate the fixed plate is contrasted with those of the moving plate. Under the different velocity of moving plate, the relationship between the effect of the projectile-retarded moving plates with thickness and intersection angle of the projectile-retarded moving plates is achieved, and the most optimal thickness and intersection angle is gotten. Then the projectile-retarded mechanism of moving plates is applied to raising the projectile-retarded ability. The velocity of back plate which is caused by the explosion of ERA, properly increase the thickness of back plate, so the back plate possess the projectile-retarded ability of moving plates. By a number of numerical simulations, the rod penetrate the common ERA and the ERA which back plate is thicken are calculated, the projectile-retarded effects of two kinds of ERA are contrasted, feasibility of improve the projectile-retarded effect of ERA by the way of increase the back plate of the ERA is testified. At last, we discuss the fixed space between the ERA and the half infinity target, and achieve the relationship between the ultimate penetration depth, penetration journey and fixed space of ERA in the interfere of ERA, and get the optimal fixed space.
