Study On The Ecological Protection In The Development Of Urban Modern Agriculture

Along with urbanization and industrialization, urban modern agriculture has been arising. As a special model of modern agriculture, urban modern agriculture has characteristics of "around the city, relying on city and serving the city". And it has played important role in the modern urban economy and urban infrastructure.Urban modern agriculture has promoted the city's rapid development of agricultural economy, but also brought a number of ecological problems, such as resource depletion, ecological damage, and environmental pollution and so on. This situation requires the development of urban modern agriculture must follow the path which focuses on the coordination of economy and ecology.This paper consists of five parts and the main content in each part is as follow. Firstly, from the angle of the interdependence between agriculture and environment, some theories about this have been studied. The research status quo in China and overseas has been reviewed. Then the framework and the main content of this thesis are summarized. Secondary, the concept, functions, mechanisms, patterns and the relationship with ecological protection of metropolitan agriculture and modern agriculture is studied. Thirdly, the development of urban modern agriculture on the basis of the good condition and infrastructure in Chengdu has been introduced. And the view has been expressed, that is, considering modern agriculture as the direction and objective of agricultural development. Fourthly, from the positive and negative respects, the thesis focuses on the modern agriculture impact on the ecology in Chengdu. And also it states that it is essential to protect ecological environment in the modern urban agriculture's construction. Fifthly, the paper concludes that it is possible to develop modern agriculture and promote the ecological protection simultaneously and the best choice for coordinated development is ecological agriculture. At the same time, the thesis proposes a series of practical and operational measures and policy proposals to smooth and promote the ecological protection in the development of urban modern agriculture in Chengdu.
