As the knowledge-based economy's coming, the external and internal environments of the organization become more and more complicated. For a better development, all enterprises need to create the new products and services constantly. The comparison among them more and more depends on the new technology and the research and development. The R&D tasks mostly are completed by the R&D teams, so their performance management has been a focus concerned by many scholars. However, because of the characteristics of the R&D works and the team numbers'high requests in performance assessment, the R&D team performance management has been a difficult. Our performance assessment system on the enterprise R&D team is not perfect now, so we need to analyze all the factors which affect the R&D team performance and design the effective performance assessment system on the R&D team.This essay is based on the theories on the performance assessment. Firstly, the essay deeply analyzes the product performance, the project performance and the employee performance, which affects the research and development team performance, then, establishes the theory model of performance assessment. Secondly, according to the data from questionnaires, the essay does the factor analysis and gets some reasonable Indicators on performance assessment and transforms them into the formal questionnaires. Thirdly, according to the SEM theory, the essay establishes the measurement model of the performance assessment and does the factor analysis, in order to ensure its effectiveness. Finally, based on the research above, the essay designs the assessment system of the R&D team and establishes the weight and the standard of the indictors.The essay on corporate R&D team performance evaluation study has some theoretical value and practical significance. At the same time, it has a corresponding reference value to business R&D team performance evaluation system.
