The Interactions Mechanism Between Systems Of New Rural Reconstruction And Rural Tourism Development

Rural tourism originated in France in the mid-19^th. With the promotion of World Tourism Organization and other international organizations, rural tourism has flourished in many countries and has been an integral of tourism. Rural tourism occurred in 1980s in China. Rural tourism destinations usually close to cities with beautiful and quiet scenery and simple life style, which decides low travel cost. Along with fast urbanization process and increase of income and leisure time for urban residents, rural tourism has large market in cities. As a focus of present work, new rural reconstruction provides an opportunity for rural tourism development. At the same time, rural tourism is an effective way to achieve the goal of new rural reconstruction. The objective of this study was to exploit the interaction mechanism between systems of new rural construction and rural tourism.There were many literatures about the relationships between new rural reconstruction and rural tourism development, especially rich in case studies. This study was based on system theory, integrated development theory about city and country, tourism system theory, community participation theory, experience economy theory. Firstly, new rural reconstruction system and rural tourism system were established. New rural reconstruction system was composed of rural industry, rural life subsystem, rural environment subsystem, rural custom subsystem and rural management subsystem. Resources, market, infrastructures, supporting facilities, environment, human resources, economy and government constituted rural tourism system. Secondly, the interaction mechanism between new rural reconstruction and rural tourism development was examined. Lastly, taken Meiwan village of Danling county as an example, the author explained the interaction mechanism between new rural construction and rural tourism development.
