Based on construction practice, the characteristics and background of Ling'ao Nuclear Power Station was analyzed. Then the quality control methods were put forward in Conventional Islands of Ling'ao nuclear power plant project. All methods were illustrated with the project data, and problems were found, resolutions were figured out.In the first place, characteristics of this engineering project were summarized. Then total quality assurance system was constructed. Organizational mode, sense of quality and process control make up of the system. Lastly, six methods of quality control were put forward according to the quality assurance system.Non-conformance control (NCC) is the first method with PDCA cycle of NC quality control;First-Pass Yield (FPY) of quality inspection is used in this engineering as the second method. FTY of welding-ray detection was analyzed comprehensively for welding process is the critical technology in project of nuclear power station.The work load point (WLP) was utilized to control project progress. With calculating WLP and points of each project, time limit report of a project in half year and one year can be presented. Introduction of the new phase-welding equivalent is the fourth method. This equivalent is a new index to quantify welding production efficiency. Reasons of adopting welding equivalent were discussion and utility and efficiency of it is described.The method of quality tendence analysis was practiced in various process of this engineering. Corrective Action Request (CAR), Observation Notice (OBS) and Suggestion Improved Request (SIR) of quality tendence analysis were done according to factors, sections, months. Results proved that this method can continuously improve the quality assurance system.The sixth is the non destructive examination (NDE) management. The background and controlling process was introduced, then effect and experience were summarized.Usage of the above methods can make project quality in control, and scheduled quality objectives achived.
