After the reform and opening up, China's logistics industry has been developing rapidly, especially into the 21st century, a large number of modern logistics enterprises emerged. According to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing statistics, China's domestic logistics companies have registered more than 70 million, of which the majorities are third-party logistics companies. Third-party logistics enterprises are the pillar of the logistics industry and play an important role in promoting the development of China's logistics market. However, at present, China's third-party logistics enterprises are presenting many problems such as "few" (few market share, fewer services),"small" (small scale), "disperse" (instable sources and single structure, distributed network ) and "weak" ( weak core competency). According to China's commitment to the WTO, after December 2005 domestic logistics market will open to foreign capital and the foreign logistics enterprises will come in and expand their business and will compete more fiercely. Facing the deteriorating living environment, third-party logistics enterprises how to develop and grow healthily and rapidly has become an emergent problem.Logistics enterprises strategic alliances refers to two or more logistics enterprises who want to achieve resource sharing, cost sharing, or advantage complemented, and other specific strategic objectives, while maintaining their independence by means of equity holding or contractual joint to form more stable intensive logistics partnership of common development of the logistics market in order to reduce logistics costs and improve efficiency of the logistics business strategy of growth mode. Logistics enterprises strategic alliances can integrate more low-cost logistics resources and work together to provide services to customers in a short period of time. It can quickly form a certain scale to meet customer's integration and diversification needs of quickly entering the market and achieving business-to-business advantages. At the same time, due to the union parties still maintained the original independence of itself; they avoid the excessive "failure of the organization" as well as the cultural conflict among them. As a result, the logistics business strategic alliance is our third-party logistics companies' preferred mode of growth at this stage.The thesis uses management science,economics,logistics and supply chain management and other related theories to analyze and judge, to explain China's third-party logistics strategic alliance company's growth mode .At the same time, this paper try to provide some theoretical reference for the growth of third-party logistics companies so as to make the third-party logistics enterprises grow better through strategic alliances.
