Based on the theories and approaches of Performance Technology, this essay takes a certain high-tech enterprise as a research case and explores how to measure and improve the performance of R&D teams. First, an investigation has been carried out to find out the performance problems and reasons why these performance gaps existed. Further, an intervention has been proposed based on the results of the investigation. That is, designing a performance measurement system for the team.The process of designing the system goes as follows: first of all, Enterprise Strategy has been broken down into the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the enterprise. From the KPI we could get the performance measurement dimensions of the team. The second step, the performance measurement dimensions of the team was broken down into those of team members. After that, we got the perfromance measurement indicators of the team and team members as well as the weighing and measurement standards.The final step is to determine the specific methods of the system implementation.When the performance measurement system has been completed, we carried it out to evaluate the effectiveness of the performance measurement indicators. In the process of evaluation, we could find out the problems of the system so as to make further improvement. The results showed that the new system can help us to find out performance problems timely, so as to serve as a guide for the performance improvement of the team and team members.
