In order to study landscape pattern in the MT.Erlang National Forest Park in Sichuan province, the theory and methods of landscape ecology and 3S technology was used. The configuration of patches of landscape element, landscape heterogeneity and diversity, spatial patterns and dynamic change were described to analyze the effects of tourism exploration on landscape structure,on the basis of above study, the landscape security pattern(LSP) theory and minimum cumulative resistance(MCR) model were applied to analyze the distribution and level of classification on LSP.The main results showed as follows:1.Woodland,sparse woodland and barren land were three main components, woodland was the matrix landscape. The three main components covered 81.15%of the total area and 55.8%of the total perimeter. The analysis of the mottling shapes of landscape type respectively, which proved that the area, perimeter and patches number of different landscape elements distributed unevenly. The trend of perimeter and area distribution was similar, while the correlation among the number of patches, area and perimeter were not significant.2.Human activities are one of the main factors for landscape fragmentation and separation. Also the result of theirs showed that woodland with the least fragmentation, separation and good connectedness, traffic land with the highest fragmentation and separation, and bad connectedness, which accords with the feature of Forest Park in mountain area.3.The analysis of spatial pattern dynamic of landscape types from 1990 to 2004 showed that the landscape pattern basically kept steady, and this is closely related to a series of effective protection and management measures that implemented to the natural forest protection project. However, local analysis shows that the phenomenon of damage caused by the tourism exploration activities are still exists and concentrated in low-lying regions of more frequent human activities.4.By choosing the land vegetation cover types, altitude and gradient to reflect the forest landscape beauty value, vertical zonality of forest vegetation and the accessibility factor of forest eco-tourism activities to develop a coefficient of resistance factor coefficient and the corresponding weight.By using the cost distance analysis method of ArcGIS spatial analysis tools, the minimum accumulation of resistance was established by calculating the three factors of land vegetation cover types, altitude and gradient. On this basis, using the technology of weighted overlay the integrated minimum cumulative resistance surface of the three factors has been constructed.Using the half variance interval classification of mathematics statistics method to classify the resistance of the minimum cumulative resistance surface and statistic the calculation of the number of resistance levels of grid number(area).Accordingly the analysis the minimum cumulative resistance threshold which influenced the landscape security pattern was confirmed.According to the minimum cumulative resistance threshold, the landscape security pattern(LSP) theory has been improved by the discussion of the partition between the high landscape security pattern(LSP)(in the high appropriate area of eco-tourism),moderate landscape security pattern(LSP)(in the middle appropriate area of eco-tourism) and low landscape security pattern(LSP)(in the low appropriate area of eco-tourism).And the middle security level district and the high security level district were the emphases on programming and exploitation in the future.
