Study On New Socialist Countryside Construction From The Perspective Of Chinese Modernization

After it was proposed at the Fifth Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Party, the task to build a new socialist countryside has been the theme of the government's rural work in our country soon. From the vision of Chinese modernization, this paper attempts to make some studies on the building of new socialist countryside. It holds the opinion that, in the process of modernization, agriculture has always been the basis of national economy, and rural modernization is the key part of Chinese modernization. When problems in agriculture, countryside and peasant become more and more prominent, and modernization is increasingly hindered, the central committee of the CCP suggested the construction of new socialist countryside after conditions being mature, in order to solve problems in agriculture, countryside and peasant with new way. So building a new socialist countryside is the inevitable choice of Chinese modernization. As a systematic project, new socialist rural construction covers a wide range, including a series of things such as goals, characters and principles, etc. Then this paper introduces the status quo of new countryside construction and makes an analysis on problems arisen. Finally, it gives some suggestions and measures for building the new socialist countryside in the framework of modernization. In this article, it is thought that the construction of new socialist countryside should insist on the guidance from the theory of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics and Scientific Development View at first, then strive to make Chinese countryside a rich, democratic, civilized and harmonious village in terms of the strategic goal of modernization. Only when it is actually planned according to the goals of modernization, can new rural construction proceed favorably.
