In general, the process of technological innovation diffusion(TID) begins the first commercial application of this technological innovation and continually contact with the commercial process. If a technological innovation can't be applied and popularized, it would not have any effect on economics by any material forms. Moreover, the technological innovation activity has some common risks such as high cost and failure, especially in the technological innovation of railway industry. While strengthening the ability of the railway's technology innovation and improving the success rate of railway's technological innovation, how to make use of the achievements of TID in railway sustained and effortful, and how to demonstrate the function of TID's effects sufficiently are important things now.This paper aims at structuring a theoretical frame of railway's technological innovation diffusion. First, the paper analysis the meaning of the technological innovation diffusion and the forming process of technological innovation diffusion in railway industry. Then according to the characters of railway industry, analyzes the beneficial results of the technological innovation diffusion on railroad industry from inside and outside of the industry, refines the influencing factors of TID and builds the index system of technology diffusion on railway industry. Finally, take the example of the Beijing to Shanghai high-speed railway project to analysis the beneficial results of the technological innovation diffusion.Based on the above analysis, The main conclusion is that the high-speed Beijing-Shanghai railway will have great impact on the society development. In the future, the scale of the high-speed railway will expand quickly.
