Research On Economic Function Of Chinese Government In Accelerated Transitional Period

The government economic functions refers to the government's economic functions of theorganization and management of the socio-economic function. It is the Endogenous requirement ofeconomic operation for the government. Since the beginning of reform and opening up, With thegradual establishment of socialist market economy system of chinese characteristics. The governmenteconomic functions has undergone a fundamental shift from the "versatile" model into the "efficiency"models. After more than 20 years of high-speed growth of China's economy, a lot of problems havebeen accumulated. One very important reason for this is due to improper positioning of thegovernment's economic function. The 21 st century, China has entered a accelerating transitional periodof social, economic emergence of a lot of new situations, new features. Conform to the characteristicsof the accelerating transitional period, repositioning the economic functions of government, as theeconomy in a sustainable, stable and healthy and harmonious development, which is a importantproposition for China to build a well-off society in an all-round way. In this paper, empiricalanalysis and standard analysis method were used. This paPer analyses building-up based on newfeatures of the accelerating transitional period and the problem of economic function of chinesegovernment. Some new viewpoints are presented on the orientation of the economic function ofchinese government in the accelerating transitional period.This article holds that the economic functions of the government in the accelerate transitionperiod should be defined: constructing and perfecting the socialist market economy in line with thepublic service-oriented financial system; perfecting the social security system which cover rural areas;build economic security system; enhance industrial competitiveness, promote industrialization;advance reform of the administrative examination and approval system by law; regarding the reform ofthe household register system as the core, narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas,accelerating urbanization progress.
