Bazar culture involves all the material and spiritual fortune created by Bazar people throughout history. Abundant in local traits, Bazar culture also a valuable tourism resource. A full range understanding of Bazar culture and its tourism value may help the comprehensive and orderly development of Urumqi international great Bazar cultural tourism resources. It may also promote the overall value and increase its economic and social benefits, and consequently achieve sustainable development.The present paper begins with an introduction to the relationship between culture and tourism and clarifies the concept of tourism culture. Then it defines the connotation of Bazar culture and analyses the significance and strengths for the development of Urumqi international great Bazar cultural tourism. Based on the status quo of Urumqi international great Bazar cultural tourism, the paper points out the problems. Finally, the whole paper puts forward the countermeasures for the reasonable planning and development of Urumqi international great Bazar cultural tourism resources and its sustainable development.The paper is characterized by: taking a parallel perspective over long standing Bazar culture and the practice of modern tourism development, and conducting integrated and systematic editing and research.
