Economic Analysis On The Evolution Process Of Urban Morphology

At first, this Paper describes the conception and evolution of Urban Morphology, systematically expounds on the related theories of the evolution of urban morphology .then divides the evolution of urban morphology into three phases, namely : urban morphology material stage .social stage and groups stage.Then the paper explores the factors influencing the evolution of urban morphology. The fundamental driving force of the evolution of urban morphology comes from the economy of the city. The development of city economic rooted in the technological innovations. The economy and the technological innovations of the city produce the practical role through the city traffic. There are also some special reasons change the morphology of the city, such as topography factors, policies factors, planning factors and the administrative boundary factors.Through the related theoretical basis of the development of foreign cities and groups and the interaction between the cities , the paper establish the model of the evolution of urban morphology .on the impact of urban economy, distance and traffic, the general process of urban morphology is simulated .Then urban morphology is divided into three models : concentric patterns, star patterns, and urban interaction model. Using the theories of rent and the economic theory, this paper analysis several development models of urban morphology.Finally ,the paper gives a certain degree analysis and argumentation on the case of Su Zhou Wu Xi and Chang Zhou.
