Research On Integrated Logistics Service Mode Of The Steel Processing And Distribution Center

Steel products, as the important part of the raw materials circulation area, its circulating mode directly affects the development of our national economy. The steel processing and distribution center is a ligament between the steelworks and downstream customers to form a supply chain, whose logistics service directly affect the level of steel supply chain management, the operation mode and performance of the upriver and downstream customers. However, steel processing and distribution centers are still at seedtime, influenced by the traditional patterns of circulation, most of them still adopt the service operating mode of "marketing-processing after purchase + materials processing", which can't meet the service demands and self-development demands for the steel circulation modernization. In view of this, the integrated logistics service modes of the steel processing and distribution center, and the integrated logistics services-oriented development modes and strategies to extend the steel value chain are researched in this paper.Firstly, the development and service status of the foreign and domestic steel processing and distribution centers are summarized, and the trends of integrated development and integrated services for steel processing and distribution center are analyzed in detail.Secondly, the value chain and value creation model for steel processing and distribution center are analyzed, and the logistics service functions and characteristics are studied with the theory of value chain. Based on the analysis of value chain, aiming at the integrated trends and service characteristics, the integrated logistics service modes——incorporate logistics service mode, synthetical logistics service mode, and integrated value chain logistics service mode are put forward.Then, the extended value chain models are set up, and the characteristics of the extended value chain are analyzed, which conclude: taking the integrated service and value-added service as the core competitiveness, the integration of physical and virtual value chain, the stretch of value chain to the outer enterprises(horizontal and vertical), and support from information technology. Meanwhile, three kinds of development modes to the integrated logistics service of steel processing and distribution center are brought forward, which are integrative development, strategic alliances and virtual cooperation. At the same time, the development strategies are proposed, as well as skilled early processing, expanding deep processing, providing personalized customized service, developing information value-added service, and providing a"bill of storage to guaranty"etc. to extend the value chain for the steel processing and distribution center.Finally, the implementation schemes for integrated logistics service of the steel processing and distribution center are proposed. The implementation foundations, implementation elements, implementation measures and implementation process are studied. The implementation elements comprise the organic structure, real-time market analysis, demand-oriented service mechanism, and optimization management of the steel supply chain. Then, two measures are presented from internal and external resources conformity of the enterprises, two aspects: integrating management to the internal logistics functions, and conforming the external resources by recombining business process and information sharing/integrating.
