With the increasingly fierce market competition, innovation has become the core competitiveness for enterprises to maintain sustainable development. The improvement of technological complexity and task dependence requires a team to complete the complex innovation, which has a variety of specific knowledge and ability. Therefore, team plays an important part in the innovation activities. However, researches on the impact mechanism of team behavior integration to team innovation still lack depth and systematic study.Through the method of questionnaire, this research surveyed 96 R&D teams from a total of 20 companies. The main purpose of the research is to construct an three dimensional model of R&D team behavioral integration, and explore the relationship among R&D team behavioral integration, collective efficacy and team innovation.In the first study, we explored the dimensions, measurement and validity of R&D team behavioral integration in the context of China. The research results show that:(1) R&D team behavioral integration is a multidimensional construct in the context of China, including three correlative dimensions:information exchange, level of collaborative behavior and joint decision making; (2) The three dimensions of R&D behavioral integration can change independently from each other.In the second study, we explored the moderate effect of collective efficacy on the relationship between R&D team behavioral integration and team innovation. The research results show that:(1) The three dimensions of R&D including information exchange, collaboration level and joint decision making are all positively related to team innovation; (2) Collective efficacy moderate the relationship between collaboration level and team innovation, the relationship between joint decision making and team innovation. But there is no significant moderate effect of collective efficacy on the relationship between information exchange and team innovation.As the previous researches of behavioral integration focus on TMT, this study takes R&D team as the research object, verifies the dimension of behavioral integration construct in the context of China, and constructs a model of R&D team behavioral integration, collective efficacy and team innovation. Through summarizing of the characteristics of R&D team, this research provides a new perspective for companies to build an excellent R&D team, create a better innovation climate, and stimulate team innovation.
