Research On The Knowledge Spillovers Mechanism Of Information Industry Cluster

The key of information industry development lies in innovation. Its innovative advantage comes from the significant Knowledge Spillovers effect of the cluster. IT firms' need for technological innovation is very strong, their R&D inputs level is high and the products have high scientific and technological content. Technical innovation can hardly do without innovative knowledge, but at the time of fast development of science and technology in the world, the renew cycle of knowledge and technology is shorter and shorter, no firm has all knowledge resources which is needed. If a firm wants to carry out the technology innovation, it needs both its own knowledge and the key knowledge that absorbed from exterior. This requires making use of Knowledge Spillovers effect. Study shows that Knowledge Spillovers effect is an objective existence; it correlates closely to high-tech industry cluster and strongly promotes technological innovation and economic growth. We can say that the enterprise will be able to upgrade innovation ability and obtain the huge success finally if it can utilize the Knowledge Spillovers effect well.Knowledge Spillovers of information industry cluster involve many economic bodies and be influenced by many factors. Only if we make the mechanism of Knowledge Spillovers clear, we can get a deeper understanding of Knowledge Spillovers effect. Thus we can make effective policy to promote industry development. Nowadays, technological innovation has become the major source of industry clusters'development. It is necessary that we study on the mechanism of Knowledge Spillovers in information industry cluster.In this paper, the author makes use of knowledge of industrial economics, information economics, game theory, and so on. On the foundation of summarizing the influencing factors, this paper studies the power and cause of Knowledge Spillovers deeply, analyzes the game among different enterprises and the transmission mechanism of it. Finally, this paper gives some policies according to the conclusions. The specific contents are as follows:The connotation of Knowledge Spillovers has been expanded greatly. The traditional fundamental researches on Knowledge Spillovers hold that it is an involuntary spillover phenomenon of innovative knowledge. This phenomenon happens without our being aware of it. However, in fact, on the one hand, an innovation-oriented enterprise protects its intellectual property in order to avoid spilling; on the other hand, it seeks ideal cooperators to spill innovative Knowledge for knowledge sharing. So,this paper expands the connotation of Knowledge Spillovers on the basis of predecessors' reference, and makes a detailed analysis with the idea of "the active Knowledge Spillovers based on cooperation and knowledge sharing".This paper analizes the power and cause of Knowledge Spillovers in information industry cluster. In the information industry enterprise, the speed of technology upgrading is high, life cycle of the product is short, renewal speed of the product is high, and usually the information product has strong compatibility, these characteristics of information industry cluster determine the necessity of Knowledge Spillovers. Knowledge Spillovers in cluster is a complicated process, there are many internal and external factors, including the intellectual property factors and the external environment factors and microcosmic factors. The microcosmic factors such as cognitive distance, technology gap and absorption ability plays an important role in the process of knowledge spillovers. This paper analyses the mechanism of them and think that cognitive distance activating knowledge spillovers, technology gap driving knowledge spillovers, absorptive capability pulling knowledge spillovers.This paper studies the transmission process of knowledge spillovers in the information industry clusters. The information industry clusters is a web organization that influenced by different kinds of participants, spilling channel, internal and external factors and so on. The transmission process of knowledge spillovers is a main thread that internalized in the web organization. In-depth study of the knowledge spillovers transmission path of the information industry clusters help us to understand the transmission process of knowledge spillovers in the information industry clusters and take various measures to promote knowledge spillovers. Based on the analysis of the factors affecting knowledge spillovers, the knowledge spillovers source and the main ways, this paper studies the knowledge spillovers transmission path and thinks that the transmission path can be divided into two parts.Finally, the author draws the knowledge spillovers transmission path chart.This paper makes game analysis about the enterprises'knowledge spillovers behavior. On the basis of the idea of "the active knowledge spillovers based on cooperation and knowledge sharing", first, the author provides two simple game model to describe the two enterprises' behaviors choice based on the interests game, and then introduces the evolutionary game theory method and established an evolutionary game model combining the summary of the factors affecting knowledge spillovers. Thus, this paper makes in-depth analysis of the mechanism of factors affecting knowledge spillovers and the behavior choice of information industry enterprises under the spillover effect. Knowledge spillovers activities between enterprises within clusters are influenced by various internal and external factors, which makes the stable state of knowledge spillovers game divers, reflecting the nonlinear characteristics of enterprises' knowledge spillovers behavior. The results of model analysis are in accordance with the mechanism of factors affecting knowledge spillovers stated in previous paper.
