The Sustainable Development Of Wetlands Ecotourism In Wuhan

As one of the most productive ecosystems in nature, wetland has abundant comprehensive functions. Nowadays, ecotourism has become the main trend of world tourism development. At the same time, it is an effective way to protect the wetland ecosystem and realize the sustainable utilization of wetland resources. In this thesis, the ecotourism in Wuhan was taken as the object of study, and the sustainable development of it was investigated on the basis of comprehensively analyzing the related domestic and international research results about ecotourism. During this investigation, the theory of sustainable development was taken as the guidance, and some related theories such as landscape ecology and welfare economics were referenced.According to the characteristic of wetland resources, the status quo of ecotourism development, and the socioeconomic status in Wuhan, the SWOT analysis of the sustainable development of wetland ecotourism in Wuhan was carried out in this thesis. Moreover, the WO pattern was put forward by adopting integrated qualitative and quantitative method. Meanwhile, by applying AHP (analytic hierarchy process) and expert evaluating method, the appraisal system of the sustainable development of wetland ecotourism in Wuhan was established, and relevant solutions and advices about it were provided.The research results indicated that although there were certain advantages for Wuhan to develop wetland ecotourism, Wuhan's own restraining factors had a relatively greater impact. According to the quantitative SWOT analysis, the weighted score of internal factors which would influence the development of wetland ecotourism in Wuhan was-0.2867, and that of external factors was 1.1150, so the WO pattern should be adopted, meaning that we should make full use of external opportunities, weaken internal weakness and actively seek development. In addition, by evaluating the sustainable development of wetland ecotourism in Wuhan, we could get that the score of it was 18, indicating the wetland ecotourism in Wuhan was in the pre-sustainable development preparation stage, so we should take full advantage of means of economy, law, organizational administration and propaganda to mange the protection of resources, the reasonable exploitation and utilization and related interests, realizing the win-win results of ecological benefit, economic benefit and social benefit.
