At present, the contradiction between supply and demand of petroleum in Chinahave become increasingly prominent, oil field development is facing severe challenges,to improve oil recovery technology is increasingly urgent demand. With the researchof CO2-EOR technology, CO2foam flooding technology maturity and wideapplications in petroleum engineering, enhanced oil recovery using CO2in thereservoir, at the same time, implementation of the geological storage of CO2, is awin-win situation in the economic and social benefits of the project. The visualizationof CO2foam fluid in porous media and foam rheological characteristics were studiedin this paper. Through the research, this paper use the CT nondestructive testingtechnology, quickly and accurately to realize the measurement of medium porosity andwater saturation distribution. Through the CT test showed that, single phase within theporous media seepage process, due to the presence of single-phase water gravity easilyfrom the porous media at the bottom of the formation of channeling, difficult to controlthe propulsion section; and the foam fluid during displacement, as a great deal ofapparent viscosity, the bubble with the advance piston like propulsion. The foam fluidsample water saturation for the low, foam displacement efficiency as high as90%.According to the percolation mechanism in porous media with foam, therheological properties of foam film liquid in the tube was studied. Through thedimensionless parameter analysis and experiment, the foam fluid in the flow, need toovercome the pressure and shear yield stress, with Herschel-Bulkley fluid model, thenon Newtonian fluid is shear thinning. The study found that: different surfactantsexhibit different rheological properties, and the types of surfactant dominant factors;Different types of gas phase to generate foam, rheological properties are not the same, the viscosity of N2foam is more than CO2foam; In the micelle concentration, surfactant concentration has little effect on the rheological properties of foam fluid.
