The study used China’s rich coal-based granular activated carbon as raw materials toexplore the preparation of activated carbon. The preparation of activated carbon withhighly efficient adsorption of gasoline vapor-specific is a new technology. Throughmodification can improve its adsorption ability, at the same time can change the surfacefunctional groups to have a specific effect on the absorption of certain substances.Activator species studied, activation time, microwave power, microwave irradiation timeand the effect of adsorption column diameter than the amount of adsorption, the use ofactivated carbon adsorption capacity and the impact of the number of residues in thedegree of vacuum and vacuum desorption time off for activated carbon attached to affectthe results of. The topic of bamboo activated carbon respectively5%,10%,15%HNO3solution soak activation and150oC and300oC respectively, with air-activated surfacemodification using infrared spectroscopy, elemental analyzers and pH meters, both from aqualitative and quantitative in terms of the type and content of modified activated carbonsurface functional groups were measured. Studies have shown that, with the oxygen acidcan be modified such that the surface oxygen-containing functional groups of activatedcarbon increased, with a nitrogen-containing chemical modifying agent, anitrogen-containing functional group can be increased so, so the adsorption of activatedcarbon can be made of different materials having a particularity and specificity. Studieshave shown that, in addition to the physical adsorption of activated carbon itself, theactivated carbon adsorption would have a significant impact on the activated carbonsurface functional groups present on the surface, the surface of these oxygen-containingfunctional groups will be a substantial increase in the surface-modified activated carbon, activated carbon adsorption capacity enhancement. The results showed that the concentration of10%of NaH2PO4solution impregnated6h, and then modified activated carbon by microwave4.3min little change in surface area, but increased functional groups, pore density. After the same time for different conditionsmodified orthogonal experiments were analyzed and more in-depth discussion The best conditions for the modified activated carbon adsorption of chromium ion togive the amount of adsorption in the adsorption4h chromium ions is greatest; acidity indifferent chromium ion adsorption, is not the same as the concentration of chromium ionsobtained when weighed a certain amount of activated carbon adsorption extent ofchromium ions are not the same. Thus for the removal of chromium ions in industrialwastewater has very important significance.
