The chemical metallurgy pilot scale process has some features such as great investment, larger scale, strong independent character, complicated construction technique, constructed by many construction units, excessive unpredictable factors and high technical risk. In this thesis, the methods of compiling the progress schedule and controlling process are studied according to the above features. The pilot scale process of10thousand tons/year high quality titanium materials oxidation-reduction at the Pangang Group is taken as the research object in order to do the intensive logical analysis and work decomposition based on the experimental requirements of the project. The schedule plan of the project is made by considering both of the cost and the quality, and the predicted goals of the progress schedule are achieved successfully by using the scientific reasonable methods of schedule control.The pilot scale process project was very difficult to implement in accordance with established plans, because of its unpredictability including unpredictable contents in design course and unpredictable technological problems in experimental process. This unpredictability may increase the possibility of engineering postponement and disturbing the project schedule. The PERT, which can make a progress schedule, cannot well simulate the actual running of projects. While GERT is too complicated to be fully adopted in big project schedule management. Therefore, a new technique is applied in this thesis to simulate an actual project running. This technique is based on PERT, and is combined with CCPM. Meanwhile, by using PDCA cycle method to dynamically monitor the project implementation and follow-up the program, we could promptly find the deviations between plan and actual progress could be found and the progress could be effectively controlled by different control measures in different situations.Research on application of PERT&CCPM technology in the pilot scale process of high quality rich titanium materials oxidation-reduction schedule management in this thesis may offer the experience that can be used for similar project.
