Hammer crusher is crushing equipment which widely used in metallurgy, miningmachinery, building materials, electric power, coal and chemical and other industries, thehammer head is the key parts that easy to wear. Using traditional single wear-resistantmaterials such as high manganese steel, wear-resistant alloy steel, high chromium cast ironmanufacturing hammer head, can only meet the wear-resisting performance of hammerhead, short of good matching of abrasion resistance and high toughness in the process ofusing and installed, frequently occur fracture phenomenon in the early time, live shorterlives. But use bi-metal composite material, can make the different parts of the same partswith different performance.In order to improve the service life and security of hammer crusher hammer, reducethe production cost and avoid the waste of wear resistant material.We design the bi-metalcomposite hammer material composition, choose the high chromium cast iron as wear partsof the material on hammer side, carbon in low alloy steel as handle installation part of thematerial, according to the performance requirements of the working condition and the useof the hammer. Explore the selection of each technological parameter optimization in theEPC production liquid-liquid bimetallic composite hammer process, including the designof gating system, casting speed, casting temperature, casting time interval control, etc. Setthe reasonable heat treatment process, then assessment the hardness and mechanicalproperties of the hammer, etc. By observing the micro-structure of bi-metal compositecombined interface and scanning the distribution of C, Cr elements in the combination ofinter-facial transition zone, analysis the interface features of bi-metal combining, to obtaingood combination of interface process parameters.Analysis the micro-structure shows that, bi-metal composite interface is metallurgicalcombination, the main elements in two kinds metal are mutual diffusion in a certaintemperature field, form the transition layer which composition and organization is betweenthe composition and organization of two kinds metal, the transition layer reaches a certainthickness. By analysis the hardness test of the sample, hardness data is in gentle transitionstate from the high chromium cast iron parts to carbon in low alloy steel, the wear parts of the high chromium cast iron parts which hardness reach HRC55~65, carbon steel partsnamely the hammer handle parts hardness reach HRC40~50. When test mechanicalproperties to tensile the specimen is not from the combination of surface rupture, interfacecombine strong. Under the same production cost, the service life of the bi-metal compositehammer than traditional high manganese steel increased by30%or so.
