In last decades, the chemists have devoted themselves to thedevelopment of new crystalline materials with a variety of properties,functions, and potential applications such as gas sorption, molecularmagnetism, nonlinear optics, catalysis, and ion-exchange. It is a verydifficult task to design and synthesis a new metal organic frameworkstructure (MOFs). The same reactants can result in completely differentframework structures, depending on the reaction conditions used, such assolvent, temperature, concentration and ratio of reactants, reaction time,and pH. To the best of our knowledge, selecting appropriate ligands andmixed ligands has been demonstrated to be a very effective approach forconstructing diverse coordination frameworks. The new networkstructures utilizing both covalent and hydrogen bonds have attractedmuch interests recently due to their fexible structural features.Tbz aroused considerable interest in biology and medicine due to itsantiproliferative activities, therefore, the study of its complexes aremeaningful. As for bridging ligands, especially diclofenac group bridgingligand, which are of an immense interest in the construction of polymericcoordination architectures, because these polymers are widely used as thestructure of the porous materials and magnetic materials which are ofdiversity and potential applications.In this thesis, Metal–organic polymers derived from thiabendazole(Tbz) was synthesized in the presence of auxiliary ligands under normalconditions and hydrothermal conditions, harvest12thiabendazole newmetal-organic complexes:[Mn2(Tbz)2(CDC)(C2O4)]n(1),{[Mn2(Tbz)2 (BDC)0.5(BTC)(H2O)2]·ET}n(2),[Zn(dpa)(Tbz)](3),[Cd(dpa)(Tbz)(H2O)](4),[Co(Hdpa)(Tbz)2](5),[Co(Tbz)(btec)0.5(H2O)]n(6),[Ni(BDC)(Tbz)2]n(7),[Mn(C2O4)(Tbz)]n(8),[Zn(C2O4)(Tbz)]n(9),[Fe(C2O4)(Tbz)]n(10),[Ni(Tbz)2(H2O)Cl]NO3(11),[Cd(Tbz)3(H3O)](12),4diclofenac group bridged new metal-organic complexes:[Cd3(C2O4)(bpy)3Cl4]n(13),[Cd2(C2O4)(phen)2Cl2]n(14),[Cd2(C2O4)(bpy)2Cl2]n(15),[Cd(py)2Cl2]n(16); Single-crystal X-rayanalysis reveals that complex: The ternary M/L/Tbz system complexes1–12have been synthesised, complexes6–10are all1-D chain.1and2are two-dimensional dual-core complexes, Complexes3,4arezero-dimensional dual-core and5is a zero-dimensional single-core.6is aone-dimensional quad-core,7is a one-dimensional single-core and8,9and10are isomorphic heteronuclear one-dimensional dual-core,Complexes11and12zero-dimensional single-core. Cd/L/Cl2systemcomplexes13-16are one-dimensional zigzag chain structure. The metalions of complexes1,2,5and7-16are distorted octahedral distortion,complex3is tetrahedral configuration and complex4is icosahedralconfiguration,6is hexahedral configuration.These complexes have been characterized by infrared spectra (IR)and X-ray single crystal diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)for1-5,9and10, fluorescence properties for3-5and9,10, andelectrochemical analysis for1,2,9and10, These complexes have beencharacterized by infrared spectra (IR) and X-ray single crystal diffraction,the complex13,14are characterized by elemental analysis, fluorescenceanalysis, electrochemical analysis.
