In this article, standard components of different polarity were extracted fromthe Salicornia bigelovii Torr for the first time. The standard components wereanalysized by high performance liquid chromatography. And pharmacologicalactivities were studied. Finally, we got the standard components library identifing byhigh performance liquid chromatography with their pharmacological activities of theSalicornia. This library will not only provide the material basis for thepharmacological study as well as the development of new drugs of Salicorniacompounds, but also provide the technical experience and data information for therelated experiment. So it has scientific significance and social value.To extract the components by ultrasonic which is fast and efficient. The water-soluble components are extracted by water, alkali solution and enzyme solutionrespectively. The components extracted by water and nzyme solution are dried byevaporation, and the alkali extracts is precipitated by alcohol to get the rawpolysaccharide; others are extracted by95%ethanol, ethyl acetate, chloroform andpetroleum ether assisted by ultrasonic and dried by evaporation. Water-solublecomponents and petroleum ether extracts will not be separated further; alcoholextracts were separated by solvent partition with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate,n-butanol successively; ethyl acetate extracts and chloroform extracts were isolated bysilica gel column; all these components constitute the standard component library ofthe Salicornia, including29standard components.To characterize the components by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). Referring to the documents, the monosaccharide composition ofwater-soluble components is studied by HPLC after hydrolysis and derivation, usingthe acetonitrile-water system as the mobile phase, the footprints were performed well;other components were analyzed by HPLC-DAD-ELSD, with the methanol-water system as the mobile phase, using two kinds of separation methods with goodseparating effect.To study the pharmacological activities on the extracted stardand components,including:1, Anticoagulant activities. To study the anticoagulant activities of thecomponents by the APTT kit method, using the heparin sodium as the positive control.It turns out that the water-soluble components and the components extracted byethanol, ethyl acetate, chloroform and petroleum ether of Salicornia bigelovii Torrwill not prolong the blood-coagulating time, all of them showed no obviousanticoagulant activity. Therefore, this experiment will not make the further study onthe separation groups.2, Antioxidant activities. To study the antioxidant activities bythe·DPPH free radical scavenging assay, hydroxyl free radical scavenging assay andthe superoxide free radical scavenging assay, and use the VC or BHA as the positivecontrol. It indicates that every extracted standard component of Salicornia bigeloviiTorr shows superior antioxidant activities, but the effects are weaker than the positivecontrol. Among them, water-soluble components showed hydroxyl free radicalscavenging activity, lower than80%at the concentrations of8mg/mL; and the·DPPHfree radical scavenging rates of all components at the concentrations of5mg/mL aremore than80%, in which the component extracted by95%ethanol showed the highestactivity, the superoxide free radical will not be scavened by the components.
