Coal mine refuge chamber providing secure shelter for the trapped miners wasone of the most important elements in the emergency safty system. As the countrypayed more attention to the safety of coal mine, underground emergency rescuetechnology and equipment has grandually become one of the research focuses. Butmany shortcomings still existed in the domestic construction of the refuge chambertechnology leading to unable to play a real function of avoiding disaster. The thesisstudies the key technology of ventilation and cooling of the refuge chamber, the mainresearch contents can be described as follows:1. Researchers have already finished the study on the confined positive pressuresystem. Isolating performance of air curtains and praying device were analyzed. Inorder to ensure air environment safety, the water isolating transition chamber whichregarded water as the flexible sealing medium was designed. It was proved in theoryand obtained the main designing parameters. The quick exhaust equipment withcompressed air as power source was another method. The goal of using pneumatic fanto make the toxic and harmful gases discharge quickly was to improve the livingenvironment.2. The air environment of the coal mine refuge chamber was simulated by usingcomputational fluid dynamics. According to the kinetic theory, it determined fluidmechanics model and heat transfer model. Control equation of turbulence model andheat transfer model were expounded. It provided theoretical support and methodguidance for calculation and analysis.3. The basic needs of ventilating and temperature were expounded. It analyzedthe factors influencing the air flow field distribution, calculated the heat emission ofbody and electrical equipment. Geometric model was established, then meshed anddefined the boundary. Air quality and human comfort evaluation standard wereprovided for it.4. The influence of air parameters, methods of air inletting and the position ofinlets and outlets on the distribution of air flow fluid were studied. It estimated thesimulation results by using evaluation standard of air quality and staff comfort.5. Some measures were taken to bring down the coal mine refuge chamber whenthe external pressure pipe was cut off. Refrigerator cooling storage was one of themost general methods now. It presented the basic working principle. Simulated the air flow field distribution and the result satisfied the basis needs of parameters. Theautomatic on-off control system was simple designed to achieve effective integrationand utilization of resources.This thesis has60figures,4tables and99references.
