In this paper, wesynthesized5,5′-methylene-double-8-hydroxyquinoline(SBQL) ligandsthrough the chemical modification of8–hydroxyquinoline.and thezinc (II) complexes cultivate; With4-N-(2’-pyridine imide) benzoic acid (Hppab),2-N-(2’-pyridine imide) ethyl sulfonic acid potassium (Kpmta) and structuresimilar to contain3,5-dihydroxy benzoic acid (DHBZ)2-N-(2’-pyridine imide)ethyl sulfonic acid potassium (Kpmta) as ligands, three transition metal complexescrystals were synthesized.In addition, a schiff base compoundcrystalcontainingchlorobenzene oxygen ethanoic acid synthesized,too, and the composition, structureand properties of the crystal materials were studied by using the X-ray single crystaldiffraction, IR, and thermogravimetric analysis,.The five crystals this paper studiesd are:1.[ZnCl4]2·8H2O·4Cl-·4sbql(1);2.[Cu2(p-pba)2(S)2]2+·SO42-(2);3.[Fe2(pmta)2(azide)2S2(H2O)2]·2H2O (3);4.[Co (pmta)(dhbz)(H2O)2]·2H2O(4);5.D-cpiad (5)We did X-ray diffraction experiments and structure parsing to the five crystals,the results show that the crystal1,2,4are triclinic crystal system, and crystal1,4,has chiral space group, P1.However, crystal2hasP-1space group. Both crystal3and5are monoclinic system whih the space group of P21/c. For chiral space groupcomplexes1and4have potential nonlinear optical properties, and are binuclearcomplexes, crystal2is coordination polymer complexes, crystal3is a mononuclearmetal complexes. crystal1includseight free water molecules so that hydrogenbonding is very abundant, and the acid radical in crystal1put two association8-hydroxyquinoline cationic together. crystal2has the words of layered structure.Metal complexes3, and4are five ligand complexes, and there are water moleculesinvolved in the coordination, crystal5through hydrogen bonding between the molecules and π-π interact together. In five kinds of crystal cell there are hydrogenbonds, crystal1,2and5still exist the face-to-face interaction between π-π, so thatthey have stable crystal structure. In addition, frequency doubling test for crystal1,shows that it has multiple frequency response surface, In crystal2,3,4and5becauseof the C=N double bonds they have a very broad application prospects in the filed ofnonlinear optical materials, the application of light emitting diode and upgradeoptimization of secondary battery, which madethembe potential optical materials.Fluorescence spectrum analysis showed that after chemical modification of thecomplexes has obvious improvement in luminous properties compared with thecorresponding complexing agent,which provides a theoretical basis for thepreparation and performance research of electroluminescent devices. IR spectrashowed that when ligands combine with transition metal, the characteristic functionalgroups of Coordination agent and its derivatives data happen specific change.Quantum chemistry calculation showed that the metal complexes’ frontiermolecular orbital energy level changed compared to the pure organic ligands’ becauseof the complexing of ligands and metals, through ultraviolet spectrum analysis, thestructure of the metal complexes were in conformity with the theoretical analysis ofstructure.
