Danxia landform refers to the red bed topography which has a steep slope that is made up of the level or flat dipping layered red clastic rocks(mainly for the conglomerate, sandstone and siltstone). Its special morphological characteristics and formation give this kind of landform strong ability of landscape. By the constructing cutting, gravitational collapse, water erosion, weathering and so on, it is easy to form various and vivid modelling of landscape. The modelling of Danxia landscape is a precious tourist resource, it is unique and irrefragable. As the success of applying for the world cultural heritage about the " China Danxia ", the deep research of the basic geological theory about the modelling of landscape modelling has become the current urgent demand.Xinjiang basin is located in the joint between the Yangtze plate and Cathaysia plate, is one of the most prominent area of Danxia landform development in our country. A large number of Danxia landform landscapes are formed in the basin affected by the tectonic position, the internal and external geological processes. Such as stone peak, stone cliff, stone pillar, hoodoos, peak clusters, stone cave, and so on. With the continuous development of Danxia landform, forming a lot of the modelling of Danxia landscapes with extremelyhigh scientific research and tourism ornamental value,Representative landscape include the golden gun peak, fairy rock, elephant trunk hill, ShiGui, old man peak, and so on. Basin on the type of Danxia landscape, the modelling of Danxia landscapes in the Xinjiang basin can be divided into the stone mountain landscape modeling, the butte residual stone landscape modeling, the piercing landscape modeling, the ShiGui landscape modeling and the combination landscape modeling.Based on the research of the five kinds of landscape shape have found that the butte residual stone, hoodoo, peak cluster, piercing and the steep rocky crag are easier to form the modelling of landscapes, but the Danxia rocky hill, stone wall and the small rocky crag is not easy. Genetic types of the butte residual stone landscape modeling, the piercing landscape modeling and the ShiGui landscape modeling are usually the corrosion weathering, and these landscape shapes are made up of the layers of large lithologic differences, mainly for calcium cementation and argillaceous cementation; Genetic types of the stone mountain landscape modeling and the combination landscape modeling are usually the causes of the collapse or the water causes, and the rock combination is relatively uniform, mainly for iron cementation. In addition, The modelling of landscapes of the Xinjiang basin mainly distributed in the edge region of the basin, especially of the southern margin of the basin. The transition zone between the edge region of the basin and the central of the basin develop occasionally, and the central almost not. The evolution degree of the modelling of Danxia landscape is generally high, mainly for the late prime to the early old age, and the modelling of landscapes of the northern edge region and the transition zone is occasionally mainly for the early prime.In conclusion, the formation of Danxia landscape modelling has certain chanciness, not all of the Danxia landform can be developed into the landscape shape. The red layer conditions, structure condition and dynamic conditions is the necessary premise of Danxia modeling and the main landscape conditions.
