Shrub is an important vegetation types to maintain arid, semi- arid area ecosystem stability, grasp carbon(C), nitrogen(N) content of shrub vegetation in Xinjiang grassland, in order to accurately estimate the ecosystem C, N reserves and C, N cycle to provides important parameters. In this study, the representative of the northern region 102 plots of 13 kinds of typical shrubs are Nitrariatangutorum, Convolvulus, Reaumuriasongarica, Anabasis, Caragana Fabr, Ephedra, Calligonumarborescens, Haloxylon, Spiraeahypericifolia, Ceratoides, Nanophyton, Kalidium and Salsola, to investigate and determine the C, N content, and then analyzes the species, grass type and the effect of environmental factors(altitude, precipitation, longitude, latitude) to C, N content of leaves, branches, stems, the research results are as follows:1 The C and N features of the typical Shrub in the different species(genera and families)The C and N content features between leaf, branch, stem of typical shrub are significantly in northern grassland(p < 0.01), which C content show that stem > branch > leaf, N content show that leaf > branch > stem, C: N show that stem > branch > leaf. The C content of typical shrub in the northern grassland show Spiraeahypericifolia is highest. the leaves, branches of Nanophyton and stems of Anabasis are lower; The N content show leaf of Caragana and branches of Ephedra are higher, the leaves and branches of Convolvulus and stems of Ceratoides are lower; The C: N show leaf of Convolvulaceae, branch and stem of Ceratoides are higher, the leaves of Reaumuria, the branches and stems of Anabasis are lower. The C, N content and C: N of typical shrub are significant difference between different families(p < 0.05). Among them, the C content of different organs of the Rosaceae, the N content of the leaves and stems of legume and the branches of Ephedra, the C:N of the branches of leaf and the stem of Rosaceae are highest.2 The C and N features of shrub in different grassland typesThe C and N content of shrub are difference significant between types of grassland(p < 0.05). The C content is significantly greater than that of meadow, and desert grassland(p < 0.05); the N content of leaf meadow is significantly higher than that of grassland and desert(p < 0.05); stem the N content of grassland is significantly higher than that of desert and meadow(p < 0.05).3 The influence factors of environmental on the N and C of typical shrubThe C content of shrub of northern organs are positive correlation with altitude, latitude and precipitation, and negative correlation with longitude; the organ of The N content of shrub organs are positive correlation with elevation, precipitation, and negative correlation with latitude. The C and N content of shrubs in the same species of the same species were changed to different degree by the environmental factors.
