Marine has a vast and complex environment, which contains a wealth of microbial resources. The environmental characteristics of marine created its marine microorganism diversity, which has great significance for the study of marine microbial resources. In this paper, two typical habitats including the offshore and deep-sea marine habitat, were chosen for the research of its diversity. And using the polyphasic taxonomic method to identify the strain isolated offshore.First, we designed four kinds of mediums for deep-sea sediment samples’ research. A total number of 106 bacteria, belonging to 25 genera, of which two strains were speculated to be new species. Analysis showed that the dominant groups were Marinobacter and Alteromonas. As the Seawater samples, which isolated from offshore, we used five different media. Isolates belonged to 22 genera, five bacterial strains were speculated to be a new species. And the dominant groups were Marinobacterium and Alteromonas. Both the number of microorganisms in the sample are dominated by Proteobacteria.Secondly, a strain isolated from South China Sea were used for polyphasic taxonomy studies. According to the phenotype, physiological and biochemical characterization, chemical characterization and genetic characteristics of classification, NH131T was proposed to represent a new species of the genus Devosia, and named Devosia pacifica. These studies enriched microbial resources of China.
