As the development of the sensor technology, the precision and accuracy of data has been greatly improved, the Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) has a prominent application future. The WSN is an ideal solution for collecting data in a variety of environments, it could be controlled and queried by an external device (sink or based station) to detect, record, and transmit environmental information like temperature, humidity and illumination through multiple independent hops. However, compared with traditional embeded system, WSN has a obvious disadvatange in computing capability and energy storage. In this thsis, a new data collection protocol based on energy balanced is proposed. Meanwhile, the WSN in this thsis is consist of a lot of TelosB sensor. TinyOS is adopted to collect the environment information and a demostration platform based on.NET and PostgreSQL is designed to keep the trace of the WSN. Specifically, this thsis could be divided following parts.Firstly, a WSN was compeleted based on TelosB and TinyOS. Meanwhile, a demostration platform was designed to record and save the data. The WSN could gather the environment information and the demostration platform could make most use of the recorded data.Secondly, a new data collecting protocal was proposed considing the energy information. The work time of the whole system can be prolonged and the reliability can be enhanced by taking account of the energy of the whole net and the critical node.Lastly, the analisis was conducted based on the data collected by the platform and the result shows that the WSN employing the E-CTP has a longer work time than the traditional routing algorithm which also means a higher roubustness and reliability when applied in meteorological observation.
