Aiming at the status quo of frequent occurrence of urban rain flood harm in recent years,in this thesis, it took a city development zone as the research object, from the background ofthe dual influence that the Global climate change and the speeding up of urbanization madeto the urban hydrologya, according to the principle of urban rain flood model theory andsimulation technology and combining with the urban rainwater pipe network planning anddesign concept, through using the SWMM Engine with ArcGIS Engine component couplingtechnology, to design rainwater pipe network and urban rain flood simulation in the study area.It determined the feasibility of coupling mode through comparing the design result with thetraditional method of rainwater pipe network planning and design. The concrete content is asfollows.(1)It analysed the current research situations of current domestic and foreign GIS andSWMM model in rainwater pipe network planning and design and expounded the currentdefects of rainwater pipe network planning and design, GIS components and the presentcondition of the integration of SWMM model and theory analysis, and the advantages broughtby its coupling model which was applied to the rainwater pipe network.(2)It expounded the principle and structure of SWMM model, and its application inurban rainwater pipe network design.The analysis results showed that using SWMM modelcan estimate and design the flow of rainwater pipe network and improve the accuracy of thepipe network design. It can also adjust the overflow nodes and overloading section by bearingthe capacity of rainwater pipe network simulation and simulating its transmission.(3)According to the content and requirements of rainwater pipe network design and itsSWMM Engine with ArcGIS Engine component coupling model, it realized the technicalroute of urban rainwater pipe network design and the basic thoughts of rainwater pipenetwork hydraulic calculation algorithm.Also it provided the theoretical basis that thecoupling model is feasible in the design of rainwater pipe network.(4)It contained the construction of DEM after consider the development of road network,and the underlying surface conditions of the established city.It analysed,classified andsummarize the needs of model parameters after using ArcHydro to extract the SWMM modelparameters in basic data of urban planning and design, and thus did not rely on experience value assignment and made the model more close to reality to ensure the accuracy ofrainwater pipe network design result.(5)It concluded the Implementation of the rainwater pipe network layout schemeļ¼‡sautomatical construction on the basis of weighted directed network diagram.After using theArcGIS Engine component to construct weighted directed network, analying the water flowsto weights in the network to find the optimal installation route of the rain water to entry to thedrain. The results showed that pipe network routing scheme is consistent with the layout ofthe artificial.(6) It also showed that after constructing rainwater pipe network design model, analysingthe open source model of SWMM Engine source code, and compiling into a dynamic linklibrary and the mixed programming technology to couple with ArcGIS Enginecomponents.Only both of the two models work together can complete the rainwater pipenetwork hydraulic calculation and pipe network transmission capacity simulation.According to the technology and theory of traditional rainwater pipe network design, thisthesis proposed a new design concept of rainwater pipe network on the basis of open sourceof urban runoff of SWMM model and GIS component coupling, and extracted hydrologicalparameters from the planning data by using GIS analysis tool to improve the accuracy andprecision of the rainwater pipe network design.
