As a model plant, the whole genome sequencing of Arabidopsis thaliana had beencompleted. A large amount of mutants in Arabidopsis has been created by physical, chemical and biological methods. A dominant mutant abs6-1D, with long narrowcotyledons, was screened from the activation tagging library in our lab. It had beendemonstrated that the overexpression of ABS6gene led to the phenotype of abs6-1D. Tofurther investigate the function of ABS6, the subcellular localization and the tissuespecificity of ABS6, and the proteins that interact with ABS6had been analyzed. ABS6waslocalized in microtubule in the protoplast by check the ABS6’ s GFP fusion protein. GUSstaining shows that the expression of the ABS6is higher in seedling, tip of root, slique andflower than other tissues in Arabidopsis. A few of candidate proteins which may interactwith ABS6had been obtained using yeast two hybrid method.
