This paper is based on the investigation project of land resources“Eco-hydrogeological investigation in Hailiutu River Catchment”. Eco-hydrogeology is a comprehensive new discipline of ecology and hydrogeology, In recent years, domestic and foreign scholars have carried on the research to the Eco-hydrogeological from the macro-scale and the microscopic scale. But from the middle basin scale has not been discussed. This article from medium basin scale studies the eco-hydrogeological effects caused by human activity. The Hailiutu River Catchment is located in the middle of Ordos Basin, Across Inner Mongolia energy base and energy base in northern Shaanxi. The climate environment is typical arid semi-arid area, there is poor surface water, groundwater resources relatively abundant. In the process of economic and social development and energy development, how rational development and utilization of water resources and protecting the ecological environment is one of the scientific problems to be solved. This paper expand research aspects from eco-hydrogeology effects caused by human activity such as land development and utilization mode、groundwater exploitation, the reasonable development and utilization scheme of groundwater resources in the environment friendly and social economic cycle is put forward, promote the coordinated development of resource development and environmental protection.Firstly, the paper obtains the status quo and historical changes of the land use in the research area based on quantitative remote sensing, Analysis of the current land use and historical evolution, Irrational exploitation of the groundwater flow field change, groundwater drawdown. 2014 Research area7.52×103hectares of grassland area decreased compared to 2000,reduce lawn area were converted to 4.99×103 hectares of woodland, 2.34×103 hectares of land for construction, as well as 2.21×103 hectares of land transportation. Correspondingly, 4.99×103 hectares groundwater depth of 0-4m becomes greater than 5m; 2.34×103 hectares groundwater depth of 0-4m becomes 4-10 m, 2.21×103 hectares groundwater depth of 0-4m becomes greater than 10 m.Based on the the identification of the change of land use types and the dynamic changes of groundwater level, using "3S" technology to interpret the ecological vegetation coverage, vegetation type, for the interpret, we conducted a field survey. Vegetation in the region can be divided into bottomland vegetation、grider land vegetation、sand vegetation and crops. In the region, based mainly psammophytic vegetation, supplemented by low wetland vegetation, psammophytic vegetation area of 1591.8km2, 61.12% of the total area; low wetland vegetation about 178.48kkm2, 6.85% of the total area. Because human engineering changed the original balance of the hydrological cycle, and changed the hydrogeological conditions, vegetation system has responded to this in a timely manner.Based on the response analysis result of variation of ground and vegetation systems, the study area should be scientific and rational planning、adjustment of land use patterns,to realize the coordinated development between socio-economic and eco-hydrogeology environment.
