This paper takes the Guangxi Fengshan County as the object of study, through literature review, field data collection and investigation, by the basis of the study on the causes of Rocky desertification, Rocky desertification status and vegetation restoration were summarizing, the Rocky Desertification in Fengshan County vegetation restoration modes and the ecological effects were studied. The different vegetation restoration after the plant diversity, such as the growth and biomass, soil fertility characteristics, litter storage capacity and the maximum water holding capacity, oxygen and carbon storage of forest on six aspects of ecological effect were compared and analyzed. At last, summaring the existing problems and shortcomings for the further study. Based on the analysis of different vegetation restoration patterns, the paper preliminary obtained the following conclusions:(1) Different vegetation restoration modes of plant species diversity of community were improved obviously by taking administrative measures. The result show that the species richness of Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera modeis best, Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis is second, Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata and Zenia insignis pure mode is the worst. The Shannon-Wiener index of the Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera mode (1.964) and Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis mode (1.861) is the best, Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata mode (1.379) is second, Zenia insignis pure mode (1.245) is worst. The Evenness index (J) of Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera mode (0.421) is lagest, the Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata mode (0.397) is second, Zenia insignis pure mode (0.363) is third, Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis mode (0.338) is least.(2) The average community biomass of different vegetation restoration patterns in sequence is Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera mode (117.117)>Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis mode101.457)> Zenia insignis pure mode (93.746)> Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata mode (88.608)> Vitex negundo mixed Neyraudia reynaudiana mode (10.306).(3)The forest litter water holding function has been improved greatly after adopting measures for vegetation restoration forest.The Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera is improved best, the average water holding capacity is18.466t/hm2, it is about3.19times of the dry matter storage.The Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis is second, the water holding capacity is17.054t/hm2, it is about3.68times of the dry matter storage. Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculatand Zenia insignis pure mode is the worst, the water holding capacity of them are15.329t/hm2and15.693t/hm2, they are about3.11and3.42times of dry matter storage.The water holding capacity from those vegetable restoration mode are3-4times higher than the Vitex negundo mixed Neyraudia reynaudiana mode.(4)The soil organic matter, hydrolysable nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium content increased obviously after taking different forest vegetation restoration measures. The soil organic matter of different vegetation restoration modes in sequence is Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera mode>Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis mode> Zenia insignis pure mode> Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata mode. The hydrolysable nitrogen and available potassium of different vegetation restoration modes in sequence is Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera mode> Zenia insignis pure mode> Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis mode> Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata mode. The available phosphorus of of different vegetation restoration modes in sequence is Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera mode> Zenia insignis pure mode> Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata mode Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis mode.Total porosity of soil of different forest vegetation restoration modes in sequence is Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera> Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata mode> Zenia insignis pure mode> Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis mode. The total porosity of soil from those vegetable restoration mode are7.5%-14.2%higher than those of the Vitex negundo mixed Neyraudia reynaudiana mode.(5) The vegetation carbon fixation and oxygen release function after taking measures for vegetation restoration,the function in sequence is Zenia insignis mixed Broussonetia papyrifera> Zenia insignis pure mode> Lonicera japonica mixed Toona sinensis mode.Zenia insignis mixed Cayratia corniculata mode> Vitex negundo mixed Neyraudia reynaudiana mode. The forest carbon storage and oxygen release function of different vegetation restoration patterns of at reserves are up to790t/hm2~846t/hm2and577t/hm2~618t/hm2, they are33.9%~43.4%higher than those of the Vitex negundo mixed Neyraudia reynaudiana mode (590t/hm2and431t/hm2).
