Shaanxi geological disasters occur frequently and bring huge threat to the lives andproperty of people, thus restricting the sustainable development of regional economy.Meteorological factors are the main natural factors leading to the disasters, and the disastersare with a sudden and uncertainty. The implementation of automatic monitoring and earlywarning of geological disasters is an important measure of disaster prevention and reduction,and can greatly improve the level of disaster prevention. Despite years of research andpractice have successfully avoided some geological disasters, but because of the suddennessand complexity of these disasters, geological disaster warning is still faced with manydifficulties. This paper selects G108key sections inShaanxi as the study area, on the base of fully summarized the domestic and foreignexisting related research results, refer to the experience of monitoring and early warning ofsuccess in each area, according to the actual needs for the prevention and control ofgeological disasters in Shaanxi, in the funding of "automatic monitoring and early warning ofgeological disasters in Shaanxi province " project to carry out research work, aimed at theestablishment of the Shaanxi geological disaster monitoring and early warning system, and toprovide scientific reference for Department of highway disaster management, to providetechnical services and management role model for similar conditions in the province andacross the country disaster monitoring and early warning.This paper on the basis of summarizing the research actuality of monitoring and earlywarning status on geological disasters at home and abroad, mainly takes collapse, landslide,debris flow as the main research objects, establishing the Shaanxi geological disastermonitoring and early warning system, and mainly from the comprehensive automaticmonitoring, prediction of geological disaster, disaster early warning model of databaseconstruction, the development of monitoring and early warning platform the four aspects tocarry out research.First of all, elaborating the geological environment conditions, the types of geologicaldisasters in the study area and the development characteristics. Secondly, in this paper the main methods of geological and meteorological disastersmonitoring and early warning model was discussed, and made a brief analysis of the therespective application, laid the theoretical foundation for the research and development ofmonitoring and warning system of geological hazard meteorological.Then, based on data have been investigated sections in disaster binding monitoring andearly warning data characteristic and function demand of the system to complete the databaseframework and database schema design of the system, and to achieve the integratedmanagement of multiple data types.Finally, after a detailed investigation and analysis of users of the system, makingreasonable system general structure, function and system interface design in detail andrealizing the modular structure, the design implement data acquisition, data processing andanalysis, early warning and forecasting, information release, emergency command, mapdisplay, geological disaster project management subsystem functions, and also achieve thesystem’s display, query, data output function, etc.
