Research On Application And Improvement Of BQ Estimate Method In Engineering Management

The Code of BQ(Building Quantity)Estimate Method has been carried into execution for more than two years. There occurred some problems in application of the code. This research on BQ estimate method is aimed to solve the problems occurred in practice and find a practical way of using it in engineering management process.First, the overseas BQ estimate methods have been studied. By analyzing the component and structure of overseas BQ estimate method and comparing it with our estimate code, the difference and gap between them is pointed out. The study on structure and content of our code of BQ estimate method shows the characteristics and problems of it. Some improvement advice has been given to the Code of BQ Estimate Method.With the knowledge and analysis of BQ estimate method, the ways of how using it practically and fully in engineering management is discussed in Chapter 5, such as in procurement & bidding, contract management, cost/shechdule/quality control, risk management, and so on. The practical technology and method of using BQ in engineering management is also studied, then some advice is given to improve the applicability of the code.In conclusion, the BQ estimate method established in our country has formed a base for the development of building construction market, but there are still many problems and obstacles in application of BQ estimate method. So it is very important to study and follow the advanced estimate method of overseas, and make a persistent improvement on our BQ estimate method.
