With the increasing improvement of living standard, people attach greater importance to the quality and security of their foods. Featured with high protein, low fat, easy digest and nutritious composition, aquatic products have enjoyed growing favor among consumers all over the world. There is an increase in the consumption of aquatic products and a vast prospect of its trade.Being one of China' s important aquatic export province, Zhejiang has an obvious price and source advantage in the competition of aquatic exports. Fishery is its traditional industry enjoying a vital position in Zhejiang' s national economy together with its resource advantage. However, the exporting of aquatic products has been seriously influenced by green trade barriers in the recent years. The competitive advantages are no longer obvious as before, the situation of exporting is not optimistic. Only by positively reacting to the green barriers, fostering competitive advantage and upgrading the international competition can Zhejiang realize the sustainable development of its aquatic products export.Beginning with the analysis of the consumption tendency of world' s aquatic products, the paper illustrates the causes, manifestations, characteristics of green barriers, expecting to have an overall and systematic understanding of the dual influences on Zhejiang aquatic exports from the green barriers. Then, the paper, based on the analysis of "Diamond Model" , puts forward the practical countermeasures of how to transfer the comparative advantages to competitive advantages to further promote the exports of aquatic products in Zhejiang province. The original idea of the paper lies in the new angle of theoretical analysis. The paper doesn' t traditionally narrate the causes and theimpacts together with the countermeasures against green barriers by the theory of externality; on the contrary, it develops the theory on the basis of the drawbacks of Zhejiang aquatic line affecting the export. According to "Diamond Model" , the paper makes a conclusion that fostering competitive advantages is the best way for Zhejiang to realize the sustainable development of its aquatic products export.
